Overview

The Vanderbilt Adult Psychiatry internship offers training in the provision of psychological services for adult clients through the the Vanderbilt Adult Psychiatry outpatient clinics, and inpatient and partial hospitalization programs at the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital.

There are two tracks within the Adult Psychiatry internship; a Generalist track and a Psychosis Emphasis track.  The structure of the internship and training experiences varies depending on the track, but overall the intern can expect exposure to psychotherapy and assessment in the Adult Psychiatry inpatient and outpatient settings, one day of placement at a secondary site within the consortium, and one-half day of didactic training with all consortium interns.
