Brief Bio
Dr. Cottingham completed her pre-doctoral internship at Yale University School of Medicine in 2007-8, with a focus on Assessment. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from 2008 to 2010. She then worked as a contract clinical neuropsychologist for the Department of Defense for several years, and she also served briefly as the interim Director of Psychology Training at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and worked in private practice doing forensic work. As she is originally from Nashville, she moved back to Tennessee in 2015, accepting a position at VA TVHS as a Clinical Neuropsychologist. Dr. Cottingham co-leads the Neuropsychology Seminar and, beginning in the 2016-17 training year, she serves as the primary supervisor for the Neuropsychology rotation. She also maintains an active research program, examining various sources of bias in neuropsychological testing. Dr. Cottingham is Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology.
