Brief Bio

Dr. Preston has been on staff at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center since 2012.  He provides psychological services on the inpatient psychiatric unit and is a supervisor for the training BHIP.  Before joining the VA, he had a private practice for 20 years that offered psychotherapy and assessment services on inpatient medical rehabilitation units and psychiatric units, in addition to providing outpatient assessment and psychotherapy.  He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Illinois.  His theoretical orientation is predominantly psychodynamic but he incorporates principles of behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy into his therapeutic work.

Psychotherapy, psychological testing, and sex therapy.
