Dr. Lauren Corona, MD, has established a research team at Monroe Carell Jr.’s Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt under the Division of Pediatric Urology. Our mission is to improve urinary tract infection (UTI) prevention in children while being responsible users of antibiotics. Our main goal is to optimize non-antibiotic UTI prevention in children and to better understand the needs of all stakeholders including families in this space. Our primary research interests focus on pediatric UTI prevention, antibiotic stewardship, optimizing non-antibiotic prophylaxis, responsible use of antibiotics, and patient and family-centered care.
