Management of Genitourinary Trauma and reconstruction

Niels Johnsen, MD MPH has an active clinical and health services research program studying all aspects of genitourinary trauma and reconstructive urology. He has collaborated on numerous multi-institutional urologic trauma studies investigating the appropriate clinical care of patients with urologic injuries. Aside from studying acute GU injury management, he also runs an established program studying the long-term urinary and sexual side effects of pelvic and genitourinary trauma, specifically addressing improvements in recognizing the needs of and providing care to patients with sexual health issues following traumatic pelvic fracture.
