Adult Acute Care Medicine Track

The Adult Acute Care Medicine track is geared toward new nurses who seek to specialize in adult acute medicine nursing. The program is designed to nurture the new graduate nurse in the transition from student to professional nurse. It provides new nurses with the specific tools and experiences needed to begin a successful career in adult medicine. After orientation to VUMC, you will experience a focused orientation in your unit and work with unit-based preceptors.

  • Top 4 track preferences ranked 1-4

  • Email addresses for 2 clinical faculty references
    (a link will be sent for reference submissions; candidates can track receipt status)

  • Dean's office email address (to confirm projected graduation date, cumulative and nursing GPA)

  • Work, volunteer, and leadership experience

  • Internship, externship experience

Submit final application packet.

Completed packets must be received no later than the posted deadline.


Candidates that successfully complete the application process will be contacted via phone and/or
email prior to the start of cohort interviews.
