Michael G. Flowers, M.D., grew up in the Philadelphia area. He earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University with a major in Classical Studies, and pursued post-baccalaureate training in pre-medical sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for medical school, and completed his internship at Lankenau Medical Center. He subsequently moved to Seattle for his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Washington, and stayed on for a fellowship in Emergency and Trauma Radiology at Harborview Medical Center.

Dr. Flowers joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, working in the Emergency Radiology section. His academic interests include medical education and remote teaching.

He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Board of Radiology, and American Society of Emergency Radiology.
