Jennifer S. Weaver, M.D.

Jennifer S. Weaver, MD, is an honors graduate of Mount Union College who earned her medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. She completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology as well as a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Michigan.

After completing fellowship, Dr. Weaver joined Medical Center Radiologists and was an Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School for 10 years. She served as the Medical Director of Radiology at Sentara Leigh Hospital for many years and was a member of the Patient Care/Best Practice committee, the Clinical & Operating Effectiveness committee, and the Board of Directors.

In 2016, Dr. Weaver joined the Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico as an Associate Professor, where she served as the musculoskeletal section chief. At UNM she was the first faculty advisor for their Women in Radiology group and was in the leadership of the UNM Health4theworld chapter.

Dr. Weaver joined the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt in 2022.

She is currently a member of Core Musculoskeletal Committee for the American Board of Radiology, the Residency and Fellowship Education Committee for the Society of Skeletal Radiology, and the Educational Exhibit Awards Committee for RSNA. She has reviewed for Radiographics.

Dr. Weaver's clinical interests include sports imaging, trauma, medical education, and operations management. She has authored numerous manuscripts, book chapters, and educational exhibits. She enjoys mentoring all types of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and technologists. Dr. Weaver has won several teaching awards throughout the years. She enjoys taking part in inter-departmental as well as multi-institutional collaborations.
