VUMC Radiology is proud to share the accomplishments of our team at the 5th annual American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology Scientific Meeting in New Orleans this past week.
Our doctors won awards, gave lectures, and even came equipped with some awe-inspiring trophies!
Alexandra Foust, DO, received the Cum laude award for her educational poster “Imaging in Epilepsy: Current Knowledge and New Perspectives (Genetics Emphasis).” Asha Sarma, MD, and Sumit Pruthi, MD, MBBS, co-authored the poster with Dr. Foust.
Two of our faculty also presented at the conference in New Orleans. Dr. Sarma gave a lecture titled “Skull Base Pneumatization and Its Implications,” while Dr. Pruthi presented “Brain Perfusion and Vascular Disease in Children with Sickle Cell Disease.”
VUMC was also responsible for creating three trophies given to conference attendees. Dr. Pruthi, along with resident Cam Henry, MD, and 3D lab engineer Brent Griffith, 3D printed the awards for best oral abstract, best scientific poster, and best educational poster. These visually-stunning trophies were a hit!
