The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is pleased to announce that Michel De Maeseneer, MD, PhD, will join our team as a Professor in October 2023.
Dr. De Maeseneer will add great value to our Musculoskeletal Radiology section. He comes to us from Belgium, where he has served as an MSK faculty member for the UZ Brussel University Hospital and as a Professor of Radiology for Vrije Universiteit since 2010.
"I am very excited to join Vanderbilt Radiology and look forward to being part of the MSK team with enthusiastic and talented doctors," says Dr. De Maeseneer. "I hope to contribute to the division by bringing my passion for MSK radiology and experience in anatomy from excellent USA/European MSK schools and am eager to learn from the new colleagues, with their own special interests and experiences."
A graduate of Vrije Universiteit for both his MD and PhD, Dr. De Maeseneer has completed multiple fellowships in radiology, including one in osteoarticular radiology as the University of California San Diego and one in musculoskeletal radiology at Wake Forest in North Carolina.
Dr. De Maeseneer has won numerous awards, including several from the RSNA and the European Society of Skeletal Radiology.
