Leadership Updates in Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Program

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is pleased to share an update about the leadership roles in our Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Program.

Rekha Krishnasarma, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, who succeeds Sumit Pruthi, MD, MBBS, (effective August 1, 2022), will lead the team as the Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Program Director.

“I am excited for this opportunity to help train the next generation of pediatric radiologists in conjunction with our talented and collegial team,” Dr. Krishnasarma says. “We are always thrilled to teach and support trainees in our department.”

Dr. Krishnasarma will be joined by Ben Greene, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, who has been selected to serve as the Associate Program Director.

“Dr. Greene is an exceptional radiologist with a wealth of experience,” Dr. Krishnasarma says. “He connects easily with our trainees. With his specialization in neuroradiology, he will be essential in formulating the curriculum to help fellows reach their full potential.”

Dr. Krishnasarma joined VUMC in 2019. She is a graduate of the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She completed her residency at the University of Texas at Houston and her fellowship in pediatric radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Greene joined VUMC in 2021 after completing a pediatric radiology fellowship at Stanford. Previously, he completed a neuroradiology fellowship at Vanderbilt in 2013. Dr. Greene received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 2007.
