Jennifer Baker Becomes Director of APP Education and Research

Jennifer Baker, MSN, APRN-BC, will be taking on a new role as Director of APP Education and Research, effective September 1.

A graduate from St. Paul College, Philippines, Baker was an RN for 11 years before earning her Master's Degree in Nursing at UCLA in 2000. She joined the faculty at Vanderbilt University in 2006 serving as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine Senior Care Services. She joined the Department of Radiology as Nurse Practitioner for Interventional Oncology in 2013 and was appointed Advanced Practice Nurse Team Leader in 2017.

"I am grateful for opportunity to serve the department and the Advanced Practice Providers in this role," Baker says." "Education, training, and research are my main interests outside of clinical work. Having served as a mentor and clinical preceptor for more than a decade, I find the experience very rewarding, especially when I see my students succeed."
