IR Chief Resident Collin Howser to Join as Assistant Professor in 2023

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is happy to announce that Collin Howser, MD, one of our own Chief IR Residents, will be joining our faculty in August of 2023 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Howser says he knew VUMC was the right place for him because of the department's strong and supportive family atmosphere.

"I anticipate it will be a great transition after witnessing how supportive the department is for other recent hires," Dr. Howser says. "I am excited to continue my growth as a physician and educator. I could not think of a better place to work to achieve those goals."

"Dr. Howser brings an incredible work ethic to everything he does, and he does a lot," says LeAnn Stokes, MD. "In addition to providing an extremely high level of patient care in his role as chief resident in IR, Dr. Howser is a tireless and enthusiastic educator for other residents and medical students."

Dr. Howser is regarded as an impeccable and energetic social coordinator who truly understands and promotes VUMC Radiology's culture.

"I honestly can't imagine Dr. Collin Howser without Vanderbilt or Vanderbilt without Dr. Collin Howser," Dr. Stokes says. "As a native Nashvillian, he has a sense of pride and belonging in this community that is truly unique. At the same time, our department is uniquely suited to allow him to develop both his clinical and entrepreneurial interests."
