Department chair Yu Shyr and vice chair of informatics and collaborative programs Lynne D. Berry are on a team newly funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to combat infectious threats throughout the world. Shyr and Berry are also directors of Vanderbilt's Center for Quantitative Sciences, which provides biostatistical support, expertise, and training to researchers both in Nashville and around the world.
