Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome Research

POTS research studies are often ongoing at Vanderbilt. People who meet criteria for POTS and have had symptoms for at least the past 6 months may be eligible for our research studies.

The criteria for a diagnosis of POTS include:

  • Increase in heart rate of at least 30 beats/minute within 10 minutes of standing or being tilted upright.
  • No hypotension (drop in blood pressure) upon standing.

Interested participants may contact Emily Osborne, MPH, BSN, RN for information about ongoing studies.
