Becoming a Research Participant

The Vanderbilt Autonomic Clinical Research Program conducts research that contributes to knowledge of the causes of autonomic disorders and development of treatment options for autonomic disorders. A number of accomplishments have been made that have led to advancement of the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with autonomic dysfunction.

We typically have research studies for people with the following diagnoses: 

  • Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)
  • Parkinson's disease with orthostatic hypotension 
  • Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)
  • Pure Autonomic Failure (PAF)

If you would like to be considered for one of our current clinical research studies, please fill out the clinical research screening questionnaire.  It is very important that you include accurate information about ALL of your current medications, as well as your orthostatic vital signs. Your records will not be evaluated without complete information.
