Callie Fernandez, MD

I grew up in Northern Virginia and stayed in the state for college at William & Mary (Go Tribe!). After graduating, I moved even closer to home to attend medical school at Georgetown, where I had the best time living in the city where I grew up just 45 minutes away. I chose Vanderbilt Health because of the overwhelming sense of support and genuine community that I felt from the very beginning. When I’m not in the hospital, I love trying new restaurants (Nashville has an amazing food scene!), hanging out with my two cats at home, watching reality TV, going for runs through any and every park and attending yoga classes. Nashville has been my biggest move yet, but I have never felt so supported and welcomed during a transition. I feel incredibly lucky and happy to be part of the Vandy Dream Team!
