I grew up in a suburb of Dallas–Fort Worth, where a love of marching band and TCU football took root early — a devotion that has never wavered (Go Frogs!). I headed to Memphis for college, and somewhere between the music and the Mississippi River, Tennessee quietly became home. A brief return to Texas took me to Houston for medical school, where I balanced the rigors of studying medicine with a prolonged attempt to make it onto the professional pickleball tour — and, more importantly, met the love of my life. Now back in Tennessee, I am thrilled to be training at Vanderbilt alongside an outstanding faculty and group of co-residents. Outside the hospital, I can usually be found outdoors — on the pickleball courts, of course, or exploring the running trails at Percy Warner Park. If you spot me around Vanderbilt Health, there is a good chance I'm wearing something purple.
