Aaron Lowe, MD

PGY-1 Resident

Hometown: Memphis, Tenn.
Undergraduate Education: Vanderbilt University
Medical School: Meharry Medical School

I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, where I spent as much time as reading books and exploring the outdoors. After graduating from Vanderbilt, I moved to Boston, Mass., and Greensboro, N.C., while working and preparing for medical school. Eventually, Nashville came calling again, and I returned to the city for medical school. When I learned that residency would keep me in Nashville, I could not have been more excited. This city has grown into an incredible place, with endless things to do, restaurants to try, and neighborhoods to explore. As for the program, it truly feels like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train at such an outstanding institution alongside some of the smartest, kindest, and most supportive people I’ve ever met. Outside the hospital, you will usually find me spending time with my wife and family, working out at the gym, or continuing my quest to discover Nashville’s best burger and pizza spots. The plan was always to make my way back to Vanderbilt someday, and I’m grateful that everything has come full circle.
