Amanda Dickert Named Chief CRNA and Director of Advanced Practice Nursing

The Department is thrilled to share that, after serving as the Interim Director of Advanced Practice Nursing and Interim Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for the past nine months, Amanda Dickert, CRNA, MS, APN, has accepted the role of Director of Advanced Practice Nursing and Chief CRNA for the Department of Anesthesiology. This comes after a comprehensive national search.

In this role Amanda will serve as part of the Departmental Leadership team to conduct operations for all Advanced Practice Provider groups within the Department of Anesthesiology. This includes close to 250 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians Assistants. She will also help with strategic planning for recruitment and retention, as well as support Advanced Practice Provider needs for leadership development, professional development, education, and wellness.

Amanda has been at VUMC for 22 years. She began as a Care Partner in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit and continued there as an RN. She has been a CRNA in our department since 2008.
