Open Position: Postdoctoral Fellow in Multi-omics and Bioinformatics

We are seeking multiple enthusiastic and highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to join a multidisciplinary research team based in the Vanderbilt Epidemiology Center. Our group conducts multiple NIH-funded research projects, including four large population-based prospective cohort studies with more than 225,000 study participants. Our research focuses on discovering the environmental, lifestyle and genetic determinants of cancer and other chronic diseases. We utilize multi-omics, such as genomics, epigenetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data. Ongoing research includes discovery of disease susceptibility loci, fine-mapping, functional annotation using bioinformatics tools, and in vitro functional characterization. We also conduct microbiome studies to discover microorganisms associated with risk of cancer and other chronic diseases.

Successful applicants will take a lead role in genetic and epidemiologic research. Candidates will also have the opportunity to develop new research projects in related areas.

Qualifications: Applicants with a doctoral degree in epidemiology, genetics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related areas are encouraged to apply.
