Dr. Margaret Maclin received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University (WAR EAGLE) and her DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She always knew that she wanted to work with children and therefore completed a residency in the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Lutheran in Providence, RI. During residency, Dr. Maclin developed a very strong interest in working with children with special health care needs. Accordingly, she went on to receive additional training in the area of cleft/craniofacial anomalies and management of patients with special health care needs (SHCN).

When not at work, there is a good chance you can find them at yoga, cooking healthy, gluten-free meals, distance running, and traveling to new and exciting places. Though her local community occupies most of her work life, she has been a part of multiple medical, dental, and academic mission trips throughout the U.S, Africa, Caribbean, Central America and Southeast Asia.

Dr. Maclin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and holds current memberships in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Tennessee Dental Association, The Special Care Dentistry Association, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
