Welcome Therapy Students

Rehabilitation Services at Vanderbilt are provided in a multitude of practice settings and locations.  Our teams consist of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Physical therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants,  Certified Athletic Trainers, Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, and Neurophysiologists.  These professionals work as part of an integral team, providing care based on best practices and a focus on personalized care for our patients and their families.

Our rehabilitation programs extend to our community for continuous learning and support of future professionals.  With over 70 contracts to professional schools across the United States, we provide training for over 50 occupational and physical therapy students and 60 audiologists and speech-language pathologists annually.  We strive to share our knowledge and remain current with the latest therapy techniques, theories, and regulations that govern our practice.

  • Welcome potential Capstone Students.

VUMC Rehabilitation Departments do accept Capstone Students.  Each area determines if and how many students they can accommodate.  The student coordinator and the area manager discuss requests and determine acceptance.  If you want to be considered, please email the student coordinator for your desired location.  You can find the list of student coordinators here.  In your email, please include your topic of interest and why you would like to do your project at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
