I work on understanding how the gut commensals acquire metal during gut inflammation. Outside of the lab, I like to read, paint and hike around Nashville.

I am working on engineering an obligate anaerobe to survive oxygen in the inflamed gut. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga and trying out different studios around Nashville.
