Touch-Panel Operations

For rooms in RLH 202, 208, 214

 

Podium Touch Panel

When you begin your user experience, this is the first thing you will see displayed on the touch panel

Main Page

After you get past the Splash Page, this will be the primary interface you will be using

There are a variety of choices you can make from this page.

  • Spotlight On: This will turn the spotlight that is aimed at the podium on.
  • Spotlight Off: This will turn the spotlight that is aimed at the podium off.
  • First Floor Fluorescents: This will turn the first row of lights on/off.
  • Microphones Vol Up: This will increase the volume for both the podium microphone as well as the wireless microphones that are available for checkout from the media center.
  • Microphones Vol Down: This will decrease the volume for both the podium microphone as well as the wireless microphones that are available for checkout from the media center.
  • Program Vol Up: This will increase the volume of whichever source is showing on the projector.
  • Program Vol Down: This will decrease the volume of whichever source is showing on the projector.

Podium PC

When you press the Podium PC button, this page will be displayed

There are no control options for the podium pc. By pressing this button, the system will display the podium pc on the projector, and you will now be able to begin your presentation. The Program Volume buttons will adjust the volume of your presentation.


Laptop HDMI

When you press the Laptop HDMI button, this page will be displayed

Follow the instructions on the screen. When you connect the HDMI cable to your laptop, you should be seeing your device on the projector. Unlike a VGA connection, HDMI carries the video and audio from laptop or other HDMI source device on a single cable. The Program Volume buttons will adjust the volume of your presentation in relation to the volume level sent by the source device.


Laptop VGA

When you press the Laptop VGA button, this page will be displayed

Follow the instructions on the screen. When you connect the cable to your laptop, you should be seeing your device on the projector. Since VGA is video only, if your presentation includes audio, you will additionally need to connect the 1/8” audio cable to you laptop. The Program Volume buttons will adjust the volume of your presentation in relation to the volume level sent by the source device.


Air Media 

When you press the Air Media button, this page will be displayed

Air Media is device that allows for a “wireless” connection between your device and the projector.    Follow the instructions on the touch panel and run the Crestron Air Media software on your device. Then follow the instructions displayed on the projector screen to join the device to the wireless presentation. The Program Volume buttons will adjust the volume of your presentation in relation to the volume level sent by the source device.

Laptops, PC or MAC, can run the appropriate app as directed on the screen.  Android and iOS devices will first need to download and install the free Crestron Air Media app from your particular devices “store”.


Apple TV 

When you press the Apple TV button, you will see this page

Apple TV is device that allows for a “wireless” connection between your iPad, iPhone, and other Apple devices that support the Air Play transport protocols.

With the Apple TV device displayed on the projection screen, from your iOS device, swipe UP from the bottom of the screen.  This will reveal a set of controls with an icon near the lower center named Air Play.  Tapping the icon will display a list of Air Play compatible devices within the range of your device.  Choose the name of the Apple TV that matches your room (displayed on the projection screen) to pair the two devices.  Once paired, from your screen, slide the connected device up slightly to reveal the “mirror” control and drag to ON.

To un-pair the two devices, bring up the Air Play controls on your device as before and select the device named at the top of the list – most likely either iPad or iPhone.  


Camera Control

When you press the Camera Control button, you will see this pagePIC9.png

Use this page to position the camera for Media Site recording. The pictures above each button show you a preview of what the camera will be capturing during recording.


Shutdown

When you press the Shutdown button, this page will be displayed.PIC10.png

If you press the YES button, the system will shut down and reset for the next presentation.

If you press the NO button, the touch panel will return to the page you were previously on.


Warm-up Page

When the projector is first powered ON, you will see this image

This is the warm-up page. Once the gauge at the bottom is completely full, the projector will be ready for use.  During the warm-up cycle, you cannot make any adjustments to the system. You will only see this page once and only if the projector is powered off when you first begin.


Cool-down Page

When you press the YES button on the Shutdown Page, this page will be displayed

Once the gauge is full, the projector will be completely cooled down and ready to start a new presentation. Once the projector is cooled down, the touch panel will return to the Splash Page.
