As a VUMC staff member since 2000, Alan has years of hands-on troubleshooting, technical support, and problem-solving experience. He helped launch the VUMC Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment in 2009 and was instrumental in the development of simulation video capture solutions for our sister centers in Africa. He is a knowledgeable videographer and editor with specific experience in the development and creation of web-based multimedia content. With a background in the music industry as both a performer and show promoter, Alan provides a strong commitment to efficient event logistics and excellent customer service.
Alan has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Trevecca Nazarene University and was a co-author of the academic abstract, “From music to macromolecules: using rich media/podcast lecture recordings to enhance the preclinical educational experience” - Med Teach. 2008;30(6):630-2. doi: 10.1080/01421590802144302.
