Personal Statement & Approach
I am passionate about treating patients from a biopsychosocial model of care that encompasses the whole person. This approach blends seamlessly into an integrative medicine model in its focus on the multi-faceted complexity of the human experience. Considering the biological, psychological, spiritual and social aspects of what it means to be in a human body, takes a village and I am honored to be a part of the team at Osher that brings this village to life.

Bio
After training and mentoring under some of the industry's most esteemed master teachers, Katrina has spent the last 20 years using Pilates as a therapeutic modality. She opened the first fully-equipped Pilates studio in Mobile, Alabama at the age of 25 before she received her doctorate in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 2015. There she became immersed in Shirley Sahrmann's Movement System Impairment model of identifying faulty movement patterns using specific diagnosis and treatment protocols. Katrina has since developed her own style of teaching therapeutic movement to her clients that integrates Pilates with functional movement sequencing in order to address the body's inherent need for integrating strength, mobility AND motor control. She takes a biopsychosocial approach to physical therapy, integrating trauma informed care into every aspect of her work. Katrina has specializations in pelvic floor health as well as working with patients who have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD). She maintains state physical therapy licensure in both Tennessee and New York.
