Bio:
Asianna Harris Health Psychology Predoctoral Intern at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a Ph.D. candidate in Counseling Psychology at Marquette University. Clinically, I am passionate about providing integrative health care services for low-income, ethnically, and racially diverse individuals managing chronic medical conditions and co-occuring mental health diagnoses.

Personal Statement & Approach:
My passion for health psychology is rooted in a legacy of women caregivers and healers in my hometown of Las Vegas. Their innate wisdom and unwavering support for our community taught me the inherent dignity of every individual and the power of radical hope in the face of medical and systemic adversity. This foundation directly shapes my approach as a clinician. Operating from a constructivist lens, I move beyond diagnostic labels to embrace the full complexity of a patient’s lived experience. I view therapy as a collaborative journey of empowerment, helping individuals reclaim their agency and actively shape their own healing. I am drawn to integrative teams because true, whole-person care cannot happen in a silo. Working on a multidisciplinary team allows me to engage in consultation and connect patients to the wraparound resources they need, ensuring their unique cultural contexts and stories are honored across their entire care journey.
