Vanderbilt University Medical Center Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine Fellowship Program
Description
The Integrative and Lifestyle Fellowship is a 12-month postgraduate program at the Osher Center for Integrative Health in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The Fellowship is dedicated to training nurse practitioners and physician assistants to provide compassionate, integrative, evidence-based integrative and lifestyle medicine for the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. Fellows will gain clinical experience working with an interdisciplinary team that focuses on integrative and lifestyle management of health. Fellows will learn to perform an integrative and lifestyle consult, facilitate medical group visits, and interdisciplinary team management and collaborative care with physical therapists, psychologists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, yoga and t’ai chi instructors. Fellows will receive training and mentorship from physician and nurse practitioner colleagues in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Master's degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies
- National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
- TN License/Certificate of Fitness to Prescribe, eligible for NPI and DEA
- Strong interest in integrative and lifestyle practices, including but not limited to mind-body medicine, acupuncture, and lifestyle medicine Excellent communication, collaboration, and teaching skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and the integration of holistic approaches in a clinical setting.
Time Commitment: July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027
