Aiden Lee

Aiden is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Medicine, Health, and Society. During her undergraduate years, her growing interest in health policy and socioeconomic determinants of health led her to research and write a paper for a departmental fellowship program on mental health outcomes of Nashville refugees, as well as a senior honors thesis on socioeconomic disparities in birthing experiences of Nashville women. After graduating, Aiden worked with the VUMC Health IT department as a credentialed trainer for the EpicLeap project, an initiative that overhauled VUMC’s old EHR system to one that would provide more efficient, quality care. She gained knowledge of the hospital revenue cycle and insurance billing process during this experience, and hopes to bring what she learned to the VUMC Department of Health Policy in order to provide research and analytic support to projects.
