Terrin N. Tamati, PhD is a Co-director of the Cochlear Implant Cognition and Communication Lab, with Dr. Moberly. Her research focuses on speech communication in adverse listening conditions, and factors underlying individual differences in communication success. Her current work focuses on understanding cochlear implant patients’ communicative experiences in daily life, and the perceptual processes that support learning and help them achieve success in the real world, outside the research lab or clinic. In addition, she is developing tools to better define real-world speech communication challenges for cochlear implant users.
