Clinical Practice Guidelines

In order to achieve the highest and most consistent, efficient and cost-effective care for patients and families at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, the Evidence Enhanced Medicine Committee has overseen the development of evidence-supported best medical practices.

These guidelines are the result of multidisciplinary collaboration between providers and other clinical personnel at Monroe Carell. They are based on evidence at the time of publication.

These are simply guidelines and are not intended as prescriptive for every patient. Individual factors and clinical judgement should always be considered when using these recommendations.

These clinical practice guidelines are not intended to constitute treatment or medical advice. Monroe Carell is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the clinical practice guidelines, or for any outcomes a patient might experience where a clinician consulted one or more such pathways in connection with providing care for that patient.
