Nursing Education and Professional Development (NEPD) supports VUMC’s mission of providing its staff with educational opportunities to enhance skills and foster ongoing professional development.

From orientation and onboarding, contact hour opportunities, and leader development programs, NEPD is an integral part of the support system for VUMC staff.

While most of what we do is focused on nursing, many of our programs and communications are pertinent to non-licensed clinical staff and non-nursing VUMC leaders. We also have outreach opportunities for our community healthcare colleagues.

3401 West End is on the corner at the intersection of West End and Murphy Road/Orleans Drive directly across from the Exxon gas station.

Parking
Building parking is available at the back entrance accessible from Orleans Drive. There is designated parking for visitors.

All visitors who park in the garage should take a ticket whether or not the garage attendant is available.

Visitors can park free for up to 30 minutes. $8.00 for the day

VUMC Shuttle
3401 West End is on the Shuttle Bus Route. The drop-off/pick-up area is at the building's back entrance off of Orleans Drive.

Building Access
3401 requires key card access through side doors.

To gain access to the building without a key card, visitors must enter through the main garage entrance (located on the main street level) and enter through the glass door. Once inside the building, elevators are located just past the security desk.
