Driscoll "Cole" Augustine is an Assistant Professor with the Vanderbilt Medical group specializing in Sports Medicine. He is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine. His practice focuses on sports injuries, master's athletes, joint pain, and traumatic brain injuries.

He is from rural Illinois and served in active and reserve components of the US Armed Forces since September 2001. While on active duty he was an adjunct professor to the Inter-service Physician Assistant program. His medical education was obtained at Lincoln Memorial University- Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Eisenhower Army Medical center for residency, and Wake Forest Baptist Health Sports Medicine Fellowship program.

He is a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine where he serves on a fellowship subcommittee. His clinical interests are vast including orthobiologics, chronic tendinopathy, and cardiovascular performance. He is skilled in an array of ultrasound guided procedures and was the instructor for the injection seminar at the Tennessee Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Augustine also taught numerous CME lectures in the field of Sports Medicine.

He and his wife enjoy traveling abroad and exploring national parks with their 3 kids. His hobbies include reading history, fishing, and any type of sporting activity. He is extremely excited to be a part of the Vanderbilt Health family in Clarksville, TN.
