Perry Initiative

Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is happy to sponsor and host a Perry Initiative Program Event on December 10 and 11, 2021. The date is tentative depending on the COVID surge.

The Perry Initiative Outreach Program is a one-day career exploration for young women in high school and medical school that allows for a hands-on introduction to the field of Orthopaedic Surgery and engineering.

Journal Club

  • DEI Journal club meets once a month. The next Journal club meeting will be held August 25th, 2021 at 12pm in the Cigarran (zoom link available). Our featured book is The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates by Wes Moore, we will be following the Study Guide written by Wes Moore to discuss the book.
