Kim works on a range of projects and initiatives that seek to translate, interpret and disseminate health policy research through design, data visualization, digital, print, and other mediums. She also serves in a program management, coordination, and outreach capacity for the Center for Child Health Policy. Kim has served as the Program Director for the Gender, Equity, & Environment Program at the Sierra Club in Washington, DC, designed health campaigns to help low-income families manage childhood asthma and access healthy food at the Baltimore City Health Department, researched and evaluated the impact of naloxone education programs on opioid overdose death, and worked with non-profits and hospitals in health advocacy, organizing, communications and marketing capacities.

Kim holds a Master of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Gender, and Health from the University of Michigan. She is involved with several arts and women's organizations in Nashville and serves on the board of Renewal House.
