Yvonne Chen, M.A.

Yvonne Chen received her B.S. in Psychology and her M.A. in Sociology from the University of Houston. Her research interests include medical sociology, mental health, Asian American studies, and aging and life course. Her master’s thesis focused on how teachers produce and reproduce dominant cultural understandings and inequality in an educational setting. Other research projects include college students’ perceptions of mental health services and the representation of Asian Americans in the media. She is also a student advisory board member of Social Problems.
