Lisa Roddy, DNP, RN-NI
Lisa Roddy, RN, joined DBMI in March 2023 as a nurse informatics data analyst. Following graduation from nursing school in 1994, she began a career as a nurse in Chattanooga, Tenn. She has been employed at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt since 2002. At the bedside, she worked in the pediatric medicine unit for infants and toddlers and then transferred to the float pool. During her years at Monroe Carell, she also served as a case manager for Pediatric Nephrology and, finally, as a transfer nurse in the throughput center before joining DBMI. She graduated with a master's degree in nursing informatics (MSN) from Vanderbilt University in August 2023 and a DNP in May 2025.

Freida Blostein, MD, PhD
Freida Bolstein, MD, PhD joined the Davis and Cox Labs as a postdoctoral fellow supported on the Vanderbilt Genomic Medicine Training Program. She received a PhD and MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan, and a BS in Evolutionary Anthropology from the University of Michigan. Freida’s doctoral research focused on creating biomarkers for the causal chain – susceptibility, exposure, and disease – using omics data in longitudinal, epidemiological cohorts. She is especially interested in gene-environment interactions in multifactorial diseases.
