Erik Brooks

Erik is the lead procurement technician for the CHTN Western Division. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in Biochemistry & Cellular & Molecular Biology. As the Lead procurement technician, Erik oversees tissue procurement from surgical and autopsy procedures to fulfill investigators tissue requests (fresh, frozen, FFPE).  He is responsible for training new staff members, maintaining working relationships with internal and external investigators, and troubleshooting new ideas and concepts. 

Additional roles include marketing at national meetings for the CHTN marketing booth, interacting with investigators face to face to answer questions about our services.  This interaction is key to generating new leads and developing a relationship with the investigator early on in the process.
