Adult Ambulatory Orientation occurs bi-monthly. All new hires will be scheduled for the next available session.

  • Vanderbilt Adult Ambulatory Operations Orientation, M-F regular work week
  • Vanderbilt Adult Ambulatory Operations Orientation, no Tuesday session.
  • Vanderbilt Adult Ambulatory Operations Orientation, T-F (when a holiday falls on a monday)
  • Prior to Orientation Week

    • Friday prior after 4 p.m.: Medical Center Orientation details from HR

    Monday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    • Medical Center Orientation (MCO) for licensed and non-licensed staff (check personal email for details)
    • Morning: in-person in Light Hall
    • Afternoon: online Teams meeting (virtual)

    Tuesday, held twice a month, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    In-person Adult Ambulatory Clinical Orientation Skills Day for RNs, LPNs and MAs (check your VUMC email for invite from Ambulatory Education)

    Work on eStar and Other Learning Exchange Modules (virtual):

    • Enrollment sent to VUMC email
    • Two chances to pass
    • Notification of passing sent to VUMC email

    Licensed Staff must complete: "eStar Online Course: Ambulatory General Clinical 100/200 (Non-OB) Self-Paced Learning" (estimate to complete: 4-5 hours)

    Non-licensed staff must complete: "eStar Online Course: Ambulatory Clinic Basics Self-Paced Learning" (estimate to complete: 1.5-2hours)

    Computers are available at 2525 West End Ave for those needing access

    Thursday, remote

    Work on Learning Exchange Modules (virtual)

    • Regulatory modules assigned by VUMC
    • Clinic-specific package of modules assigned by Education Specialist
