Paulo Henrique de Melo, Ph.D. completed his undergraduate degree at Centro Universitário de Araraquara.  He did his Ph.D. at Universidade de São Paulo in Immunology. Paulo is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the lab of Carlos Henrique Serezani, Ph.D.

When you were 5, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An actor!

 

What was it about science that drew you to it?  

Observing people realities always attracted me to investigated it.

 

If you could study anything, what would it be?

The interaction between central metabolic organs and the immune system.

 

What's next for you?

Improve my skills in the communication and education area.

 

Best way to pass the time while waiting on an experiment to finish:

I'm usually looking for ideas on how to improve my communication with general society in order to make science an accessible thing for everyone. Exploring how social media can help me to achieve these goals.
