(VPH) Psychiatric Assessment, Validation and Evaluation (PAVE) Skills for Success

Course Description:
There will be no PAVE sessions for 2021
Licensed and non-licensed staff at VPH hired prior to January 1, 2021 are required to complete annual competencies by June 15, 2021. Competencies are assigned in early January in LMS based on department and job role.
Most competencies can be completed online through LMS.
New employees hired after January 1, 2021 are not required to complete competencies until 2022. New employees hired between 7/1/20 and 1/1/21 may have already completed some competency requirements through orientation. Those items will be marked complete on their competency assignments in LMS and do not need to be repeated.
Handle with Care Competency
This competency must be completed through participation in a scheduled event.
Sign up in LMS. Search for 2021 FY Handle with Care Event (VBH) and select the session you want to attend.

- Each session is limited to 15 participants
- Each session will take place via Zoom
- Each participant must have their camera on and actively participate in return demonstration of skill.
Mock Code Competency
This competency may be completed by either completing a case study online or participating in a scheduled event.
Case Study
- Open the Mock Code module in the competency package in LMS
- Answer case study questions and submit
- Questions will be reviewed by Education
