Lithium batteries need to be disposed of through the chemical waste collection program. You can fill out a collection request form here: https://www.vumc.org/safety/waste/chemical-waste-collection.

Follow the guidelines in the AED Inspection, Reporting, and Maintenance section here. Clinical area AEDs must be checked daily. Public area AEDs must be checked weekly. All AEDs require a monthly check and documentation in the Premedics AED Manager website.
