The Office for Continuous Professional Development currently offers MOC II credit for diplomats of the following boards:

  • American Board of Anesthesiology: ABA MOCA Part II & ABA MOCA Patient Safety
  • American Board of Internal Medicine
  • American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery
  • American Board of Pathology
  • American Board of Pediatrics
  • American Board of Surgery (beginning January 2023)

The Office for Continuous Professional Development (OCPD) provides MOC II credit for CE-certified activities that meet the following criteria:

  • Case-based patient care discussion
  • Active engagement by participants
  • Feedback on the discussion
  • Recommendations for future practice

Once a faculty member’s profile has been set up to record MOC II credit, they will receive the credit automatically when they text in the CME code for CE/MOC certified activities. Our office reports MOC II credit to the respective boards once a quarter throughout the year with the final push of data occurring in December.

If you are a faculty member setting up a new CE activity and would like to discuss receiving MOC II credit, or if you already have a CE certified activity and would like to inquire about adding MOC II credit, please email OCPD for assistance.
