Perinatal Regionalization Program

As the perinatal referral center for the Middle Tennessee Region, Vanderbilt Medical Center Department of OB/GYN and the Department of Nursing Education and Professional Development are pleased to offer the following continuing education courses for 2018.

Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring (1/2 day course)

This course is designed for those with little or no experience in Electronic Fetal Monitoring and will cover basic terminology.

Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (full day)

This course is designed for those with experience In Electronic Fetal monitoring or those who have completed the Basic EFM course.

Care of the OB Patient – Level I (full day)

Topics included in this course include obstetric admission assessment, labor management, induction and augmentation of labor, and common obstetrical emergencies.

Care of the High Risk OB Patient- Level II (full day)

Topics included in this course are preterm labor, hypertension in pregnancy, diabetes, and disseminated intravascular coagulation.
