What: This is a CME approved, live lecture-based seminar that will include general sessions in the morning and several afternoon workshop options. Topics will include maternal mental health, intimate partner violence, sepsis in pregnancy and electronic fetal monitoring.
Description
This is a CME-approved, live lecture-based general session event. Topics will include Difficult Vaginal Delivery, Corrective Measures for FHR Tracings, and Trauma in Pregnancy.

Meet Our Guest Speaker
Karin Fox, MD, MEd
Karin Fox, MD, MEd is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist who provides comprehensive MFM care, and whose clinical and research interests focus on the placenta accreta spectrum, complex surgical deliveries, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal transport and diabetes in pregnancy. '
Dr. Fox volunteers as a committee and board member for organizations, including: the International Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum (IS-PAS), the Pan-American Society for the Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS2) and the coding Committee for the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is currently the Associate Editor for Surgical Obstetrics for the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has over 100 peer reviewed publications.
Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Fox earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Literature at the University of Oregon and served in the U.S. Army as a medic and ambulance driver.
After her residency and fellowship at UTMB, she received a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Evaluation for health care professions from the University of Houston. She continues to promote medical education to all levels of providers.
