Yara Aboshady, MD

Yara Aboshady is a general Obstetrician-Gynecologist and faculty member at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Aboshady earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University before attending St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rutgers Health New Jersey Medical School–Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Following residency, Dr. Aboshady and her husband relocated to Nashville, where she joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Clinical Instructor. She maintains a full-scope OB/GYN practice with particular clinical interests in high-risk obstetric care and gynecologic surgery. Dr. Aboshady is passionate about providing comprehensive, evidence-based care while building strong relationships with her patients and contributing to the education and mentorship of the next generation of physicians.
