Elizabeth Lane, MD, MS
Dr. Elizabeth Lane is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, she now calls Tennessee home after residing in the state for over a decade. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida before completing a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), where she also completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
Dr. Lane practices general obstetrics and gynecology, with a specialized focus on vulvar dermatological disorders. She holds certification in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
Her holistic approach to patient care is deeply informed by her background in nutrition, yoga, and integrative health. While at Georgetown, she concentrated on complementary and integrative medicine and completed her master's capstone project on therapeutic movement for cancer patients at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. She has also studied dance in medicine and is a certified yoga teacher (YTT 200).
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Lane is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians. A recipient of the Golden Apple Teaching Award from the UTHSC College of Medicine student body, she actively teaches medical students and residents at VUMC.
Outside of clinical practice and teaching, Dr. Lane enjoys staying active through yoga, exploring local and national parks with her family, and traveling.
