The Behavioral Health track is geared toward new nurses who seek to specialize in psychiatric and behavioral health nursing. The program is designed to nurture the new graduate nurse in the transition from student to professional nurse. It provides new nurses with the specific tools and experiences needed to begin a successful career in behavioral health. After orientation to VUMC, you will experience a focused orientation in your unit and work with unit-based preceptors. Placement within a specific department will occur within your first week of orientation.
