Coaching, Counseling, and Consultation
Work/Life Connections-EAP's team of clinicians conduct assessments and provide recommendations focused on the specific needs of employees. Performance Coaching focuses on enhancing productivity and workplace effectiveness through goal-setting and skill-building. Counseling for acute life stressors is brief and solution-focused. Employees needing longer term or more specialized counseling for ongoing issues will be given resource information and referrals to community providers. Consultation services are available to guide supervisors in addressing performance issues and difficult workplace situations.
Located in the basement of the Medical Arts Building, Work/Life Connections-EAP offers free and confidential services to employees and their spouses.

As we each face difficult challenges and change, Work/Life Connections-EAP provides programs to foster the resilience of our faculty and staff.
We can help build team resilience by providing interpersonal skills training for your department. For the individual, our performance coaching can also help individuals develop and enhance interpersonal skills. Our manager consultations can assist leaders with approaches to help their teams navigate change.

Crisis Situations & Critical Incident Stress Management Interventions
Are you in need of more immediate assistance? Work/Life Connections - EAP can assist you via telephone or connect you to crisis resources within and outside the Vanderbilt community.
WLC-EAP also administers the Faculty and Staff Hardship Fund application process for Vanderbilt employees in temporary financial hardship who qualify for assistance.
In addition, when a traumatic incident (such as the death of a co-worker, a threat to the personal safety of the staff, or other stressful event) impacts the emotional well-being of the Vanderbilt community, Work/Life Connections-EAP is here to assist.
